In a remarkable display of devotion, faith and cultural heritage, Matr Shakti created history by performing a grand 32-day continuous Maha Aarti at the historic Shri Raghunath Ji Temple, Jammu.
Organised under the aegis of Shree Raghunath Ji ki Jammu Maha Aarti Sanstha, the unique spiritual initiative, dedicated to the devotees of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, concluded successfully today after witnessing overwhelming public participation and appreciation.

The 32-day Maha Aarti commenced on July 2, 2026, and continued uninterrupted till August 2, 2026. The sacred programme was formally inaugurated by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, in the gracious presence of senior officers of the district administration, marking the beginning of a month-long spiritual celebration in the heart of Jammu.

The Maha Aarti was organised under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Singh, Chairperson of the Sanstha. The religious proceedings commenced with a Grand Abhishek, performed in accordance with all Vedic rituals and traditions, setting the spiritual tone for the entire event. Every evening, the temple reverberated with devotional hymns and prayers as thousands of pilgrims, tourists and local devotees gathered to witness the magnificent Maha Aarti.

The event provided an opportunity to serve devotees and pilgrims visiting Jammu during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Throughout the month, the programme was blessed by the presence of revered Dharmacharyas, Mahamandaleshwars and saints, whose spiritual guidance added immense significance to the occasion. Distinguished citizens, industrialists, eminent artists, renowned singers and members of civil society also participated in large numbers, making the Maha Aarti a true people's movement rooted in faith and devotion.

The initiative also had a positive impact on the local economy, as markets surrounding Shri Raghunath Ji Temple witnessed increased activity due to the steady influx of pilgrims and visitors.

A unique feature of the programme was the participation of 11 learned Brahmin priests along with eight women priests, symbolising the growing role of women in preserving and promoting India's spiritual traditions. The active involvement of Matr Shakti in performing the sacred rituals was widely appreciated by all sections of society and by the thousands of devotees who visited the temple during the month-long celebrations.

The programme also received enthusiastic support from its Brand Ambassadors, including Sonali Dogra, Sahaj Sabharwal, Shwetama, Bhoomi Thaper and Mahiya Tandon, who helped promote the spiritual initiative and encouraged greater public participation. The office bearers include Founder and Vice-Chairman Shri Baldev Khullar, President Shri Rajesh Diwan, General Secretary Shri Anup Jain, Secretaries Shri Ramesh Gupta and Shri Sachin Raina, Media In-charge Shri Ridham Gupta, and Treasurer Shri Ankush Sethi, Advisor Mahant Rohit Shastri, Swati Dedeechj, Seema Murthy and Mona Saraf.

The successful execution of the Maha Aarti was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Aarti Management Team and the committed office bearers of the Sanstha under the leadership of Dr. Ritu Singh.

The Sanstha expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Karan Singh, Hon’ble Chairman, Dharmarth Trust, and the esteemed Trustees for granting permission to organise the Maha Aarti within the sacred premises of Shri Raghunath Ji Temple. It also acknowledged the valuable support extended by the Jammu Tourism Department under the leadership of Director Shri Vikas Gupta for making excellent arrangements for seating and publicity for pilgrims and tourists.

The Sanstha further thanked the Dharmarth Trust and the management of Shri Raghunath Ji Temple for providing essential logistical support, including the generator, lighting and sound systems, as well as prasad for devotees throughout the programme.

The overwhelming response from devotees, the enthusiastic participation of the public and the successful completion of the 32-day Maha Aarti have established this spiritual initiative as a landmark event in Jammu's religious and cultural calendar, reinforcing the city's identity as the City of Temples and a gateway to the revered Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
