JAMMU : Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness mainly dry weather from September 25 to 27, with thunderstorm activity expected on September 27 and 28, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
As per the IMD's subdivision-wise warning bulletin issued on Thursday, no weather warning has been issued for J&K for September 25 and 26. However, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and squall has been forecast for September 27 and 28. No warning has been issued for September 29 and 30.
For Srinagar, the local forecast predicts mainly clear weather on September 25, 26 and 27, while partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm has been forecast on September 28 and 29.
Similarly, Jammu city is expected to witness mainly clear sky from September 25 to 27, followed by partly cloudy weather with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm on September 28 and 29.
The IMD said weather is likely to remain stable during the initial days, with chances of localized thunderstorm activity increasing towards September 27-28.
