Udhampur :
A Village Defence Guard (VDG) member sustained a gunshot injury after his rifle went off accidentally in the Majalta area of Udhampur district.
Reports said that the VDG member, identified as Parshotam Lal, a resident of Chore Panjian in Majalta,
was injured after his rifle went off accidentally causing a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He was soon shifted to a hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this connection started investigation for ascertaining the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
