SRINAGAR :A mild earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale jolted Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at around 6:44 PM at a depth of 5 kilometers. The epicenter was located at latitude 33.89 and longitude 74.99, about 28 km southeast of Srinagar.
Tremors were felt in parts of the Kashmir Valley including Srinagar and Pulwama. However, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
The seismic activity was confirmed by concerned monitoring agencies.
