SRINAGAR : Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha has prorogued the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
According to a bulletin issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Srinagar today, the order was issued by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor on 1st October, 2026.
The order reads, "I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (a) of the Sub-section (2) of Section 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby prorogue the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly."
The bulletin in this regard was issued vide No: LA-6022-6060/Legn/2026 dated 05/10/2026.
